Battle #1: Bold First Strike (mandalorian attack on coruscant)

WAR! Mandolorian forces commanded by the insurrectionist Kelborn (Mandolore) have preformed a feint attack on the New Republic capital world of Corruscant.The attack was composed of the insurrectionist's capital/flag ship the Last Sight,40 Keldabe-class battleships,100 Venator-class cruisers,1,000 Taung-class corvettes and 10,000 Asp-class starfighters. It is unfortunate for the new republic that all of the new republic's defense forces where on call to quell another rebellion by the Black Vann Consortium,a group of imperial sympathizers with a vast amount of resources.The new republic suffered greatly at the hands of the Mandolorians,losing 2 of it's valuable Golan V battle stations and 1 of the planetary shield generators on-planet.As the secondary shield generator was being reactivated the ruthless Mandolorians unleashed a devastating barrage of turbo laser fire onto the planet's surface causing catastrophic damage.The Mandolorians retreated as soon as the remaining Golan V station on the night side began to cross the horizon.Military casualties are at 3,411 dead and 506 missing.Civilian casualties are at 12,567 dead,3,028 wounded and 9 missing.No hits on the Mandolorian forces are confirmed.Coruscant is expected to make a full recovery within 12 years.
